Holidays in Portugal

Food, sweets, cold, family, friends, book, exhibitions, talks, sketching workshops, media... Yes coming back to Portugal has been amazing but busy!

Now that things (kinda) slow down, I have time to write something about my experience on coming for some holidays in Portugal. I confess that, before arriving, I was quite excited to spend time with my family, eat Portuguese food, and sketch Portugal. But, I didn’t have the time to really travel around, sketch, and enjoy these amazing sunny cold days… but it’s all good! instead, I worked on the book that is now in the printing process.

The “World Sketching Tour” Book

The book will be a selection of 44 sketches from Europe, Asia, and Oceania. There will be only sketches because the project is not finished yet, and this is just a way to simply share it with you. Here is the cover and some pages of the book, hope you like it!

On the Media

Meanwhile, I’ve been also busy talking to media channels about the project and this five years on road. The reception has been amazing! Thank you so much, Portugal 🙂

Here you can see more.

January And February Plans

At the moment, I’m busy working on the exhibitions, talks, and sketching workshops. Hopefully, this week I will have the dates for Lisbon and Castelo Branco, and by the end of the week I will be able to tell you when you can join it.

Conclusion

I’m loving being back in Portugal. I’ve been eating loads of delicious Portuguese food (thanks, mom!), and it seems that nothing really changed… well, most of my friends look the same, yet they resemble less enthusiasm on keeping their dreams alive and more settled with what they already have. I guess that’s the life i’ve been missing! 😉

In 2012 I started a World Sketching Tour and since then, this has been my lifestyle. More intense, more for others, more open on how to look and judge. The tour made me get out of routines and safe places, which often leave me numb just seeing life go by slowly. Sketching has aroused my curiosity for “what will it be like on the other side of the mountain?”.
