I came from France with the idea, that in Italy, I would also have difficulties communicating in English. I was surprised. It’s true that not everyone speaks it and most of them always give the Italian way to pronounce it: “u go ine fronte, den u turne to de rite…” it’s funny. Besides, those who speak Portuguese easily reach the middle of understanding. This led me to conclude that France and Spain, within the most visited countries of Europe, are the ones that least speak English, where France is frankly at the top.
