Sketching Workshop

With Luís Simões

The Urban Sketching workshop is for everyone who likes, or would like to draw in a spontaneous and intuitive way. Knowing how to observe your surroundings, tell a story and capture the movement and momentum. Having the understanding of how to start a simple drawing and gradually add complexity: people, buildings, foreground, background, and the use of watercolors will be some of the themes that I will explain, within my creative process.

The main goal of the sketching workshop is not for you to sketch like me, but to give you guidelines, techniques, shortcuts, and inspiration from my own experience that can help you develop your own style, provide progress in drawing, and a quick learning curve. Give you the permission to be yourself and to enjoy the process of sketching. You will finish the workshop with a sense of freedom and confidence, which will be the foundation for further progress in sketching.
